When Mafuyu settles down to sleep, everything is as normal as it has been thus far. It's when she's just on the cusp of unconsciousness that a soft, childlike voice pierces through the silence. The tone is hushed, as if whispering something that should not be spoken out loud.
"The puppet master's only concern is how well it can manipulate its marionettes."
The rabbit does not speak again for the duration of curfew hours.
It's only a couple of days after Mafuyu returns from her field trip that Deadrabbit finally decides to speak up again. However it happens, it seems to pointedly choose a time to do so when it appears that she will be alone for a few minutes.
"A seal was broken. You broke it. She's very... Happy... that you freed her."
The tone is the same hushed one as before, though somehow even quieter than the previous message had been.
